Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, the successful group of companies

known as "Evan K. Shaw", "Metlox" and "American Pottery" produced

a large range of ceramics - dinner sets, tableware, etc. In 1943 they were

awarded a licenseeship to produce a range of Disney characters. As these

companies are no longer in business, their product has become hard

to find and is highly sought after.
